WindCrest Farm Orienteering Event 2015

Orienteering is an exciting outdoor sport which involves walking or running while navigating around a course using a detailed map and sometimes a compass.   The challenge is to navigate between a set of control points and decide the best route to complete the course in the least time.  It does not matter how young, old or fit you are - you can run, walk or jog and progress at your own pace.

Windcrest Farm Orienteering Event 2015

What a great day!!  Thank you all for coming out and making WFOE 2015 such a wonderful success.  We had over 65 people participate on one or more Orienteering Courses, along with a few spectators.

Best of all, we raised

$310 for CHEO!

Special Thanks to Ottawa Orienteering for the loan of the punches - very much appreciated.  Don't forget to check out their web page for Orienteering events, clinics and other fun stuff.  The Kids Running Free program (next one starts in the spring) is a great way for kids to get outdoors, have fun and learn map reading skills.
